Delete your Floor General account
This page explains how to delete an account in Floor General, the basketball decision-training app by Sport Link LLC, and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to coach and player accounts.
Delete it in the app
- Open Floor General and sign in.
- Open Settings (from the menu).
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
The account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. If deletion cannot be completed, nothing is deleted and the app tells you, so you can try again.
No longer have the app?
Email sportlink@spotsscoreboard.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is your account, delete it, and tell you when it is done — within 30 days. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete their child's account the same way.
What is deleted
- Your email address, name, password and Google, Apple or Microsoft sign-in identifiers. The account is closed and you are signed out on every device.
- Players: your team membership, and the name and jersey number your coach gave your invitation. Your name is removed from every saved quiz — yours and your teammates' — and you are described by your role instead.
- Coaches: the player names and notes on your roster, your feedback on quiz questions, your notes on opponents, your settings, and players you added who never joined. Players who joined with their own accounts keep their accounts and history.
What is kept, and for how long
- Quiz results, roles and accuracy figures, in anonymised form that is linked to no one, so a team's averages stay correct. Kept while the team's data exists.
- The date the account was created, its language and its plan type, on the closed, anonymised account record.
- Billing records for a paid plan — transaction identifiers and billing country — for as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years).
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google; cancel it in that store as well. For a subscription bought on our website, email us and we will cancel it.
